HEAD OF SENIORS – FULLTIME, PERMANENT

Salary:  Competitive

Babington House School is an independent day school in Kent for boys and girls.  Located in Chislehurst, we try to instil in our pupils a love of learning and a passion for discovery that will last a lifetime.  The boys and girls who come to Babington House School receive a first-class education and enjoy coming to school. With a school roll of just over 430, every pupil from 3 to 18 years old is able to make the most of our bespoke approach to education, grow in confidence and maturity.

The School now seeks an ambitious and committed Head of Seniors to join the Senior Leadership Team from September or January 2021. The Head of Seniors will work to further enhance the educational standards for which the school is renowned, whilst also shaping and implementing the strategy to modernise the learning experience and the School’s culture to ensure that every member of the community flourishes.

DYSLEXIA SPECIALIST LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Full or Part-Time, Term time.

Salary: £ 30,904 (pro rata for part-time/term-time)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified, Dyslexia Specialist Learning Support Assistant to join our highly successful School on a full or part-time, term time basis, starting in September 2021.

The boys and girls who come to Babington House School receive a first-class education and enjoy coming to school. With a school roll of just over 430, every pupil from 3 to 18 years old is able to make the most of our bespoke approach to education, grow in confidence and maturity and make close friendships. Our school offers a nurturing yet academically challenging environment for our pupils, of which the successful candidate will be expected to foster

The successful candidate will join a friendly and supportive Learning Support Team and be able to offer dyslexia support across the whole School. You will have a dyslexia qualification, with level 7 being desirable and level 5 essential.  You will be able to assess students using a range of assessment tools, you will be able to identify areas of concern, plan and deliver structured lessons ensuring progress of your students. You will be able to write reports for parents and outside agencies.

ECONOMICS & BUSINESS TEACHER – PART-TIME (0.45 FTE)

SALARY: Competitive (pro rata for part-time)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-qualified, talented and enthusiastic Economics and Business Teacher to join our highly successful School from September/January 2021/22 on a part-time, permanent contract.

The pupils at Babington House receive a first-class education and we ensure outstanding quality and exemplary support for the young people we serve.  Our school offers a nurturing yet academically challenging environment for our pupils, of which the successful candidate will be expected to foster. 

You will join a strong, dynamic seniors’ team, providing high quality teaching to KS4 for business and KS5 for economics. The hours of work will be 18 periods per week.  The days of work are likely to be Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

You will be passionate about your subject and have exceptionally high standards of your pupils.  As a member of staff, you will be valued and supported; in return we are looking for commitment, drive and enthusiasm.

VISITING PIANO TEACHER – SELF EMPLOYED

The pupils at Babington House receive a first-class education and we ensure outstanding quality and exemplary support for the young people we serve.  Our school offers a nurturing yet academically challenging environment for our pupils, of which the successful candidate will be expected to foster. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified piano teacher to join our thriving Music Department on a self-employed basis from September 2021.

The successful candidate will be committed to training young musicians of all abilities in both the Prep and Senior School and should be engaging in their teaching style. You should have a music degree and some previous experience of teaching or working with young people, along with excellent communication and organisational skills.

We have a number of students ready to commence regular classes and anticipate a full-day of teaching available, although this may be possible to spread across other days.

You will be committed and enthusiastic, with a passion for music and ensure our pupils are tutored in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.  As a Visiting Teacher, you will be valued and supported; in return we are looking for individuals, who are patient, punctual and reliable.

This is a self-employed position, with payments made directly from the parents of the students.
